Those 70s Shows

One of the things that Ken brought back from the States is a collection of DVDs that I had ordered before he went. They're not movies, but classic TV shows from the Seventies.

Ah, the Seventies!

The old Mary and Bob series always make us laugh, and we love Julia Child's approach to classic French cooking (some of Julia's episodes are actually from the Sixties, in black & white). We now have three seasons of each.

So we will be settling in to some classic American television over the dark winter months ahead with some of our old friends: Mary, Rhoda, Phyllis, Lou, Bob, Emily, Howard, Carol, and, of course, Julia.

  1. I used to love the Mary Tyler Moore show. Never seen the Bob Newhart show though.
Have you changed anything to the comment section? Or is it google? I can't comment as 'other' any more. It says "pseudonyme"... or "anonyme"

  2. What a great collection of DVD's to hoard up for the winter months ahead!!! I always like those sit-coms although never saw the Julia Child Show. Actually I'm getting so that I don't watch any sitcoms on TV nowdays....

  3. anonymous, I don't know, but blogger has been having several difficulties lately, so it'll probably come back on its own.

conn, I don't have much interest in newer shows, either, but the old ones are worn and comfortable, like an old pair of jeans.
