Dandy dew drops

There was a heavy dew on Saturday morning and, aside from Callie getting all wet and muddy, the vineyard was beautiful as the sun came up. The droplets sparkled in the light and little mists formed as they began to evaporate. I saw this dandelion covered in tiny drops of dew.

The seeds were parted at the top of the flower head and I was treated to this intimate view. I'm certain that once the dew evaporated, the breeze took the seeds and scattered them.

  1. Fabulous photo, especially when dandified !! Let's hope none of the dandelon seeds drifted towards your garden.

  5. That's just crazy that you have dandelions that have already gone to seed. We just got daffodils a couple days ago!
    Your photo is simply fantastic.

I would like a copy to put on a wall in my house. It is a petit chef d'oeuvre :-)

  12. A humble thanks to all of you. Sometimes I get lucky.

The camera is a Panasonic Lumix FZ7 that's about 5 years old now. It's got a built-in optical zoom lens that's the functional equivalent of a 36-432mm.

I'm itchin' to upgrade to a full SLR, With interchangeable lenses (for wider angles and longer zooms) but still waiting for the right moment.
