Throwback Thursday

This is my first "Throwback Thursday." It's a blog thing where you post an old photo on Thursday. Easy enough. This picture was taken by our friend CHM back in California in 1994. At least, we think it's 1994. If so, I was thirty-four years old. Just about twenty years ago.

Me and Collette in front of our Silicon Valley house, circa 1994.

The dog is our Collette. We adopted her from the Humane Society in 1992 when we lived in Sunnyvale, a city in Silicon Valley. She was a great dog, and she moved with us to France in 2003. She died back in 2006 and we still miss her. But now we have Callie, a very good dog!

CHM took the picture with an Apple QuickTake camera, one of the first digital cameras. Wow!

  4. After sending you theses photos — I should have done that before —, I found out Frank and I didn't go to Mountain View at all n 1994, but we did in September 1993. So, this photo is exactly twenty years old. Wow! Time flies, doesn't it?

  5. Awwww, so nice to see you with Collette :) You really have hardly changed, Walt.

Do you have any photos of chm back in DC days or anytime? We all hear about chm and the long-standing friendship you two have with him, but we've only ever seen photos from a visit or two to your house in recent years. Chm.... are you game? :)

  6. Very fashionable, Walt! You were ahead of the game... Only now have I noticed more men wearing light pink ties with scarves in their suit pockets and just last week I saw a middle-aged man wearing a hot-pink polo shirt crossing the street!!!
