A nice weekend

Actually, it's been a nice week. Sun and climbing temperatures have made it pleasant to be outside, even if the mornings are on the cool side. The vineyards are leafing out, cherry and peach trees have set fruit, and it's time to plant the vegetable garden.

Our hamlet from out among the vines on a sunny Friday morning.

The new doors are installed in the living room. It only took two guys a little under four hours to remove the old doors and install the new ones. We like them a lot, especially the fact that they're sliding doors and don't open into the room. Ken is posting some photos today; I'll put some up tomorrow.

  2. I left a comment on ken's blog. this week things greened up around here too; warmer days, cool nights, plenty of rain.

spouse purchased his pepper and tomato plants (2 of each); today they will be planted in the soil. I will have some nature pix up this week from around my hamlet.

  3. I put my tomato plants in last weekend (Mother's Day, after all!), and we've had the coldest weather in weeks and weeks, since! Grr! It has been down to the very low 40s at night all week! Of course, we haven't had a frost, but, still, I understand that chilling the soil like that can stunt the growth of your tomatoes. :( boo!
