Cat on a cold tile deck

I raked the leaves off the driveway on Sunday. Bert watched me from up on the deck the whole time. Did he lift a paw to help? Nope. He did yawn a time or two. Perhaps I was boring him.

My Sunday supervisor.

The mornings are chillier now and are predicted to get even chillier as the week goes on. It's starting to feel more like fall. I guess our Indian summer is coming to an end. Well, it had to happen. The new boiler for the central heat is supposed to be installed two weeks from today. I'm looking forward to that.

  1. When can we expect the stage play? It's so nice to be constantly supervised, isn't it? But tell your supervisor that today is a holiday.

  3. Our cat likes to stalk us. It's turned cold here, too. It had to happen ;-).

  4. As long as you didn't get a scolding from Bert for lax effort.
They keep warning us that this Winter's going to be just about the coldest since Creation - but as long as that Jet Stream (bless it!) continues to postpone the Apocalypse I'll be well satisfied. (The dip in temps at the w/e is forecast to be only for a short while, so worry not - at least not yet.)

  7. Great Bertie pic...
but I just saw something very strange...
RonRon, our B&W cat, was sitting on this chair looking hard at the screen...
    she had seen Bertie!
Then I let the big black "butch" Baron out... and, because they are very, very similar...
RonRon kept looking from Baron to Bertie!
And then reached out and touched the screen!!
She was obviously sending a message to Bertie....

  8. stuart, there won't be one. Since Paul Newman died there is no one to play me.

    judy, he's mildly photogenic...

    evelyn, 'tis the season!

raybeard, I hope it's not that cold!

gosia, I try to measure up to his expectations.

    michael, yes. That and eat.

tim, it's funny how they can see those things!

  9. Dudo would have kept Bert very good company (although he does tend to get close regularly to inspect my work). Central heat. What is the world coming to?
