I did get up to the top of the World Trade Center a couple times in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Great fun!

t.b., so much to do, so little time!

mitch, I wish we had the time to get to that Cathedral. I have a growing list for things to do next time...

judy, yes, tulips. But the photo is now a month old, so it was tulip time in Montréal.

diogenes, like I said, nothing lasts forever!

mary, the views were great. The only problem was that we were there early in the morning and looking into the sun. I'd love to go up at sunset when the lights are coming on!

starman, merci, mon ami.wcshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00551283829616757577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17913552.post-63769040294979411572012-06-09T22:12:19.751+02:002012-06-09T22:12:19.751+02:00More great shots of Montréal. Cities are interesting to explore from above either from a building looking out or on a high hill or mountaintop. Those red flowers made a nice contrast to the greys and blues of the skyline. Thanks to the Beaver, when I sometime get to Montréal, I'll have to check out that skating rink!

Mary in OregonMaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04911284607089608538noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17913552.post-29166171039930629882012-06-09T17:41:51.911+02:002012-06-09T17:41:51.911+02:00Wonderful pictures...the height restriction seems ...Wonderful pictures...the height restriction seems like a good idea. Remember when Philly had a limit? You could go no higher than William Penn's eyes on top of City Hall? Of course that restriction is long gone.Diogenesnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17913552.post-91594882336933221642012-06-09T15:55:06.378+02:002012-06-09T15:55:06.378+02:00Oooh, I like that observation terrace! There's nothing quite like the view over a city from the top of something very tall.

When we visited New York I loved the view from the top of the Empire State Building - an experience to remember for ever.
I also loved the view from the revolving restaurant at the top of the Marriot in Times Square - not only did the Empire State and the Chrysler buildings come round every 30 minutes, but so did the puddings !!Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09726164724131916224noreply@blogger.com
