Prices are to be $1.50/pound and this farm does not use any pesticides!!! I, too, am quickly trying to eat the rest of the blueberries that I picked and froze last year. I'm thinking - perhaps they, too, might have raspberries that I can pick??? Great Idea!

Your field bushes are really loaded. I'm hoping I'll find a similar situation here.

Saturday night I have tickets to hear the Canadian Brass at The Oregon Bach Festival! I'm trying to keep up with Wimbledon, Germany vs. USA in Brazil AND keep up with my growing weed problem outside my home!!! (Not quite as good as you, two, at keeping up with outside chores (!)

MaryMaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04911284607089608538noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17913552.post-80795769688233021132014-06-25T19:53:31.853+02:002014-06-25T19:53:31.853+02:00They were amazing, E., and at the peak of ripeness...They were amazing, E., and at the peak of ripeness.Ken Broadhursthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04430899802705818716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17913552.post-6457626315894265492014-06-25T19:52:51.711+02:002014-06-25T19:52:51.711+02:00The so-called picking was really just grabbing a b...The so-called picking was really just grabbing a bunch of berries and easily pulling them off so that they would fall into the bucket underneath. It was almost cheating. No thorns, no insects, no dirt — just mowed grass — to walk on. This is definitely an annual affair. The blueberries you pick cost 3.50€/kg. Reasonable, given the freshness.Ken Broadhursthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04430899802705818716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17913552.post-58391109765792694922014-06-25T17:09:52.881+02:002014-06-25T17:09:52.881+02:00Yum! Will have to pass this year [op and driving embargo until 28 July] but will go again next year.Niall & Antoinettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12699304108340257145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17913552.post-5538179218453323352014-06-25T16:23:22.074+02:002014-06-25T16:23:22.074+02:00great idea to froze berries for the upcoming seaso...great idea to froze berries for the upcoming season.Gosiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14604712540141917583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17913552.post-89292884920325311002014-06-25T16:04:57.015+02:002014-06-25T16:04:57.015+02:00Holy cow!Holy cow!Seine Judeet (Judith)https://www.blogger.com/profile/07407353544376132484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17913552.post-20363838227916755842014-06-25T14:47:30.613+02:002014-06-25T14:47:30.613+02:00Blueberries freeze so well. I picked the lowbush variety last year, which are smaller, so I didn't get such a weight, but they made good icecream.
Usually some kind of fruit fails us for the year, but this year everything is producing as well as the nuisibles will allow. Right now we have cherries, raspberries, strawberries, loganberries, tayberries, jostaberries (3 of) worcesterberries (2 of), gooseberries (about a dozen of), redcurrants and whitecurrants to deal with, and when they're done we'll be straight up there.
