Just learned about the massive blackout hitting Spain right now. It says that it hit parts of France for a short time, as well, but I'm assuming that was somewhere closer to Spain than where you are. Yikes.
We have a possible 80 + day coming up on Thursday as well! As for the Iberian Peninsula blackout...I was thinking how difficult that would be for travelers - especially if they were out "touring" and had been using public transportation. Residents, at least. know their way around and potentially have friends living here and there for support, if the place the tourists were staying was some distance away. Glad to hear it wasn't a terrorist attack. Thinking in the future - I must always have available local currency and not always think ATM's are mostly available everywhere. Also glad you weren't affected. I do have an acquaintance who lives in a small town in Portugal. I will be anxious to hear from her Mother how she got on during that time.
Living outside of Saint-Aignan-sur-Cher since 2003. You'll find here pictures and descriptions of our daily life in rural France, some travels, and other stuff about me, my husband Ken, and our dog Tasha.
That view is ever changing and always interesting. Summer-like here recently. High 80sF here yesterday.
ReplyDeleteA new beginning.

ReplyDeletemitch, our weather is improving, too. I wonder how long it will last?
ReplyDeleteevelyn, it's so much nicer than the brown of winter.
judy, we haven't been affected so far. You're right, the France outage was down in the Pyrénées.
