Apples

The leaves are now almost all on the ground. But there are still a few apples clinging to the trees. They'll be gone, too, in a short time.

Holding on for a while longer.

This, one of five apple trees in our yard, is often the last to lose its leaves, not to mention its fruit. They're not apples that we eat because they're rather small and very tart. In the fall they turn from green to yellow -- maybe that means they're better to eat? I don't know.
