Well, not really. Now that the Siberian Express has left the station, the North Atlantic systems are starting to move through again. Right now they're kind of weak, bringing us mostly clouds and a few sprinkles here and there.
This is the view north from our front deck. Clouds are moving in from the northwest while the sun shines on the trees from the south. This patch of woods separates us from the vineyard to the north. We can see through it in winter, but in summer it's a wall of green. And I like that.
A nice bit of seasonality in the landscape... I'm photographing the same bit at the end of the valley at different times of day... then, at the end of a year, I am going to select the nicest shots and turn them into a slideshow through the seasons... thought it would make a nice project.
ReplyDeleteYesterdays seeds are Maple, I'm pretty sure.
Yet another lovely photo Walt. How you manage to find beauty in the gray of winter amazes me. You are one talented man with an eye for beauty.
ReplyDeleteOur temps have finally gotten back to the mid-20's. Have I mentioned how much I HATE these stupid word verifications?
ReplyDeleteAnother enlightening photo, Walt.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what shots you are eliminating. Surely you are very selective each day as the chosen photos have so many interesting angles.
Mary in Oregon
I just wrote a post that got blown away. Gone with the wind.
ReplyDeleteMy post was: in my imagination, I can see this photo as a rainbow. Red on top, then orange, then yellow, then green, blue (sort of). And my mind fills in the indigo and violet.
ReplyDelete(Now I see why everyone is complaining about this new verification scheme.)
Bon weekend!
tim, sounds like a great project. I'll look forward to it.
ReplyDeleteron, you flatter me. Keep it up. :) Actually, it's not all gray in winter here, so if I manage to get out during a nice spell, I can get some good pictures.
starman, I would love the mid 20's right now! But, I'll have to wait. I don't know what the deal is with the new word verif's. They are a pain.
mary, there are so many photos you don't see. Too blurry, too dark, not interesting, etc. If I take a lot of pictures, at least one will be presentable!
cheryl, I'll have what you're having... ;)
