On one of the few sunny days we've had lately, we were invited to a barbeque at the home of some friends. It wasn't really a barbeque but rather the smoking of cured salmon. Delicious.

What does a pack of smokes cost in France these days? Back in college, during my smoking days, I loved the thick, blue, slightly perfumed smoke of Gitanes.

I had a friend that only smoked Gauloises too! He was French....Acadian in fact. Loved the smell of those (the cigs that is) at the time.
