Here's a part of the Chambord castle that's less ornate than the central section, but still quite impressive, in my opinion, as it wraps around the building's southern courtyard.
This part of the château is not open to visitors. I wonder what they keep in there?
Ken and I have been up since 4:30am watching election returns on the computers and on CNN. What a morning!
I hope you're as pleased as we are with the outcome. But it reinforces my disdain for the average American. 50% voted for a man who is a blatant liar, who would do or say anything he thought necessary to win, to be President of the United States!!!!
Addendum to Starman and Judith: With the concession of Florida and continued counting of votes in called states, Romney's amount of the popular vote is now at 47%. The population he so vilified. How do you say "karma" in French?
Living outside of Saint-Aignan-sur-Cher since 2003. You'll find here pictures and descriptions of our daily life in rural France, some travels, and other stuff about me, my husband Ken, and our dog Tasha.
Celebrations in order :))
ReplyDeleteLooks a bit like the White House!
Heard it when the alarm went off at 5:30am this morning and listened to the BBC radio 4 [get longwave in the car] reports as I drove to Poitiers :-)
