As we left the casino (after playing bingo), we got a view of the whole of the Las Vegas strip from the roof of the parking garage. The southern end of the strip is on the left, the northern end, and downtown, are on the right.
Ooh, Las Vegas, ain't no place for a poor boy like me.
That's about it for the photos I took during the trip. Not having the DSLR camera was freeing in a way. I felt no need to look at everything as a photo op. I didn't have to cart the camera around everywhere I went.
We lived there for 2 years. And I do NOT miss it.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good time and didn't feel tied to photo-taking :)
ReplyDeleteThe energy of Vegas doesn't show in this photo, but I remember what that was like the one time I visited. Glad you had a chance to see your relatives.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting place to visit, but I cannot imagine living there.
ReplyDeletemitch, too hot?
ReplyDeletejudy, it was nice to just hang out.
evelyn, this view at sunset (or sunrise) might be nice, with all the lights.
mary, it has it's good points, but the desert heat is not for everyone.
My reasons relate to seeing all those addicted gamblers constantly. I lived in Palm Desert for 2 years when I attended College of the Desert - I loved the weather! I really looked forward to the spring with the blooming desert flowers, too!
