These flowers are growing in our neighbors' yard. I'm not sure if they're wild or some domesticated variety. No matter; they're pretty.
A more rustic-looking version of this flower grows in some of the uncultivated areas out back.
The taxes are done, I hope, for another year. I always feel like I've missed something, especially, as one of my commenters pointed out, the forms change ever-so-slightly from year to year. I just have to check the summary recap to be sure that everything is there.
What gorgeous flowers!
ReplyDeleteOh, gee, I thought that I commented on your snowball viburnum post, but I guess I didn't! I love yours... ours is, sadly, dead :(
ReplyDeleteI think your eyes will adjust within a week-ish. If they don't, you absolutely can go back and tell them. Of all of the prescription glasses that I've bought, only one was really very much not right, and I didn't realize that I could take them back, so I never did... that was only my second pair of glasses, so I was new to the whole thing. I gave up wearing them, and went back to my old glasses... I really should have taken them back! Every now and then I put them on, to see if they work now. Nope. Ha! But, I had another pair that didn't seem quite right, and I had gotten new frames, too, and we finally decided that I should get a bigger frame, so I did, and that fixed the minor problem.
So my first reaction to that gorgeous blue knapweed was, "Gee, that looks so much like 'Bachelor's Buttons'", so I typed in Knapweed vs. Bachelor's Buttons and guess what? They are the same thing! My Mother had those growing up in one of her favorite flower beds and I loved the cheery colors: royal blue, light pink, and white. Centaurea is the family name. Lucky you, no planting was required! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThey are NOT exactly the same thing! This time I typed it in a little differently and I found out, yes, same family, but different flowers. Sorry for the rash response!
