Our hamlet includes a small pond to provide water in case of a fire. During the past few days, it's been emptied and cleaned out. I'm guessing that the fences will go up today. Let's hope we don't need any water, especially since most of what we had is gone for the time being.
The local pond, cleaned and ready for refilling. That's not our house.
The pond was new when we moved in back in 2003. It's been emptied and cleaned out once since then. This is the second time. Again, I hope we don't ever need it.

I’m surprised the pond has been emptied now. But, yes, I hope you don’t ever need it.
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking of you after reading about the fires in France. I hope you don't need the water either.
ReplyDeleteYES, I hope you don't need it. Those fires are terrible.
ReplyDeletemitch, it looks like there are some fires burning down you're way. Stay safe!
ReplyDeletemichael, and with the recent fire in the Fontainbleau forest, we know we're not out of danger.
