Here are some of the signs we saw on our brief walk through town (sorry there are so many):
"Do Not Enter; Private"
Do you think there might be some international copyright issues here?
This sign was above a boutique that sold maternity clothes.
"White, Whole Wheat, Foccacia, Organic." What else but a bakery?
Outside a church : "You have 5 minutes, 10 minutes... A little prayer before the holy sacrement on display. Come in, stop, rest."
This one's obvious!
This is the high school where Ken worked as a teaching assistant back in the olden days. I wonder if he ever met Monsieur Corneille? (Eeeeet's a joke.)
I love that organic is "biologique" in French. The signs are all great, Walt. Saw Lucy today on the first day of Waldorf school. I always think of you when I see her. Hope you're doing well.
Ginny, thanks! Biological bread just doesn't have the same ring to it in English... there is one bakery near us that does organic bread. We tried it once, but it was more expensive than what we get delivered to the house each morning, AND you have to go get it yourself. Two strikes...
BC, I didn't think of it as timed prayer; that's interesting. I wonder if they have a meter!? :)
Living outside of Saint-Aignan-sur-Cher since 2003. You'll find here pictures and descriptions of our daily life in rural France, some travels, and other stuff about me, my husband Ken, and our dog Tasha.

ReplyDeleteI liked the timed prayer idea. What if you want to pray for only 2 minutes? Is that OK too?

LOL for what you wrote : I didn't think of it as timed prayer; that's interesting. I wonder if they have a meter!? :)
ReplyDeleteYou're very "irrespectueux"/disrespectful towards those poor "bonnes soeurs"/nuns ;-) !!!
