This is the World Financial Center, seen from the World Trade Center observation deck in 1994. I'm not certain which buildings survived the September 11 attacks in 2001, but many of them did. Much has been built and re-built since then.

The view is a chilling reminder. The entire neighborhood changed even before 2001. Would be interesting to see the view from the new building.

ReplyDeleteI've not been to the area since that one time in 1985, so this must have been what it looked like, then.
ReplyDeleteMost, if not all, of the Financial Center survived. The biggest one with the Winter Garden is def intact, as I've been back there many times since.
