Un escargot

I saw this one the other day. I had to hurry to get the camera set, hoping he wouldn't dash away before I could get a photo. ;)

These critters are common around here.

Today is market day in Saint-Aignan. What's on the list? Green asparagus, radishes, strawberries, and poultry sausages, for starters.

  1. It is surprising how fast they can move... that's why they race them..... !!
    And from yesterday...
    I think you will find that your Knapweed is Perennial Cornflower [Centaurea montana] because the outer petals are blue... Batchelors Buttons [C.cyanus] (The French War Memorial flower), Knapweed [C.nigra] and Greater Knapweed [C.scabiosa] are both very purple at the top and all flower from mid-June...
    Perennial Cornflower is in flower now.... all four are native to France.
