We had just arrived in Provence on 9-11-2001. After spending that Tuesday out touring around in the car, we got back to our gîte and saw what was going on in the U.S. At first we thought we were watching some kind of science fiction war movie. We had only turned on the TV to see the weather forecast for the following day in Provence. Then we were cut off from any communication with the U.S. for a few days, which was stressful. Our first plan for that September vacation had been to spend it in New York City. We had found a vacation apartment to rent in Lower Manhattan. I think we changed our plans because NYC was too expensive and Provence was a bargain in comparison.
Living outside of Saint-Aignan-sur-Cher since 2003. You'll find here pictures and descriptions of our daily life in rural France, some travels, and other stuff about me, my husband Ken, and our dog Tasha.
