Ready, set, go!

The truck and car were packed and locks secured. We said our good-byes to Peter (who kept shooting photos, thankfully), to our Capitol Hill apartment and neighborhood, and to DC. It was a slo-mo departure.

Ken and me, with truck packed and ready to hit the road. One more stop to make on the way out...

I'll make this post short. I injured myself a few days ago falling over while either cleaning or trying to get something out from under the TV stand in the living room. It feels like I sprained my right shoulder/arm. It's very painful when I move a certain way.

Doctor, it hurts when I do this. "Well don't do that!"

  1. Oh crud! So sorry about the shoulder. I just did that routine on video with my brother Tuesday night. (He‘s got a sore leg.) I hope you recover quickly. Living is dangerous. I’m so glad Peter took all those photos (and good ones at that). I haven‘t commented on the short shorts. But, those were the days!

  2. You two look so fine and fit ready for a cross country move. I don't think I really appreciated my younger days when I was fit. I hope your shoulder heals quickly.

  4. Ugh; get better soon! Rest! Fortunately, you and Ken have lots of meals in the freezer, right? Right? -- Chrissoup

  5. Sheesh! Both of you down for repairs at the same time. Systems do tend to go down more as we age. It’s important to maintain a moderate exercise routine and some simple stretches to maintain flexibility and muscle mass. I am learning that the hard way. Look after yourself. C.
