Back in the early '90s, I was fresh out of grad school and found a job as a transportation planner at what was called a Congestion Management Agency. I could not resist clipping this strip from the local paper.

I heard rain showers over night. Nothing serious.
I was made traffic manager of an ad agency I worked for. I was 22 and was surprised it had nothing to do with traffic.
ReplyDeleteLast Thursday evening, we had tickets at the Kennedy Center, and the Key Bridge was closed for some unknown reason, throwing DC traffic into panic. We made it in time, about 25% of the audience was delaying. The delayed the curtain time by 15 minutes.
