The forsythia is blooming all over the place, including in our back yard. The yellow is so vibrant that it almost feels warm.
Our backyard forsythia is in fine form this year.
Rain showers are back in the weather forecast through to the weekend, and the temperatures are lower than they have been. Boo!

Always such a stunning display and a harbinger of spring.
ReplyDeleteLet's just hope that the lowering of temps (though slight here) is a mere 'hiccup' in the onset of longer-term warmth.
ReplyDeleteThe forsythia looks so wild and exuberant, it makes me think of Van Gogh's paintings.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!

February showers bring March flowers. -- Chrissoup
ReplyDeleteThese bloom in April in my youth. I always associate the color yellow with April for this reason.
ReplyDeletemitch, for sure!
ReplyDeleteraybeard, I hope so!

bettyann, :)
chris, they certainly did this year. :)
michael, I don't remember when they bloomed when I was a boy in upstate NY. Probably similar to MI.
