We woke up this morning to 19ºC (66ºF) outside. We're also back in the loft in our own bed. Sleeping is much more comfortable than it has been. The weather folks are predicting more cooling in the days ahead.

Now the big worry is twofold: the possible return of the heat and the lack of rain. Jamais content.


Interesting article about how different the strategy is in France for fighting fires! New fires have been popping up in Oregon, one is near Medford, the Evans Fire. I played pickleball yesterday with a firefighter who was on leave at present but he was hopeful he would be called up for the Evans Fire. NYT said France keeps tabs on fires by early watering of areas with high winds and likely places for new fires. I think I will reread it. Enjoy your cool day, we are expecting hotter temps.
