What is the function of this tower? I have no idea what it is or why it's there, but it stands very close to the old lighthouse at Chassiron.
A tower stands next to the Chassilron light. Ile d'Oléron, May 2008.
My throat is not much better today than it has been. Sometimes it feels ok and I can sleep or otherwise relax. Other times it just burns.and I cough and cough. My abdominal muscles ache from the strain. Still no sign of a fever, thank goodness. Good news: the space between coughing jags is getting longer. And I have an appetite, so I can eat. Ken shows no signs of getting it. Overall, things feel like they're getting better, but slowly. I've had this before. It'll fade.
So sorry for your continued suffering. Those coughs sometimes feel like they drag on forever. Glad you can see some signs of easing. I’m waiting for someone to tell us what that tower is for.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering about that tower also. I'm hoping your soon well, enough of that misery!
ReplyDeleteHi there, Mitchell in New York!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you can eat, and have an appetite :)
So sorry you are still sick but happy that you will be able to enjoy the great meal that Ken made.

Sorry you’re still feeling poorly. I feel for you my friend. Is it possible that you have bronchitis? This happened to me once and I coughed so hard that I broke some ribs. Doctor said that when we cough hard, he said that it can be a force of up 2,000 lbs/sq inch or something like that. If it’s viral bronchitis, stay in bed for a couple more days. Eat lots of chicken soup. I stayed in bed for four days in a row and got better. If it’s bacterial, you might need a course of antibiotics.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like an early version of a communications/cell tower’. By the way, it’s right by the lighthouse at Ile d'Oléron.
ReplyDeleteDuh, ignore the last part of my previous comment. I hadn’t seen the previous pictures and narrative because I’m a little behind in reading your blog. Apologies.
ReplyDeleteAre you turning your head to the side when you cough? Maye that's the problem. *smirk*
