One More Frosty Foto

Here's another view from earlier in the week when we had a good freeze. There are many oak trees in the woods around the vineyard and their acorns are spread around enough that I see lots of small trees colonizing the emptier fields.

The vineyard road passes several fields full of grasses and small trees.

The dead leaves stay on the oaks until spring when the new growth forces them to fall. On this day the leaves were covered in a layer of frost which glinted as the sun rose.

  1. Great photo. The brown and grey colours look good together.

We are under snow again. Ugh.

  2. As Jean said, those colors do look good together :)

Glad to hear you're having the coloscopie because it really is true that early dépistage is important! (hmm...unfamiliar with the correct usage of these terms in French... did they fit into my franglais phrase correctly?)

Seriously, the procedure's bark is worse than its bite... it's not like being in the dentist's chair, wide awake and listening to the drilling! You won't feel a thing or be any part of the procedure while awake, and there are no after-effects :) It's really nothing -- it's just the anticipation that is nerve-wracking the first time. And, even if they were to find polyps, they just take them out, and you're good to go!

  4. jean, it will end. It will end. ;)

judy, it all sounds good to me! I'm not really worried. It's just the general thoughts of "what if" that give me pause.

    michael, thank you!

    starman, yes. And it was!
