Tarte Aux Pommes

Here's one of the first apple tarts I've made since the holidays. It was good, too!

A home-made crust, a few apples, a quick custard, and a fruit jelly glaze are all it takes to make. I still can't get the apples in the center form a neat ring like the ones on the outside. But it makes no difference to the taste. Yum!

  4. If it is delicious ( I bet it tastes great) I don't mind about presentation. Care to take some foreign orders :-)

  6. Awesome. If it tastes half as good as it looks, you must have had a very fine meal indeed.

  7. Looks delicious! What kind of jam do you use for the glaze? Apricot?

  8. Why do we in the States think a crust is the way to top an apple pie? I love how beautifully everything is presented in France. Michel Sardou is right to sing "c'est pourquoi j'habite en France."

  9. You are all invited over for a slice. Of the next one, because we already ate this one!

The glaze is made with Ken's home-made plum jam.
