Last Friday there was a full moon (that might explain some things...). As it rose in the north-northeast I grabbed the camera and the tripod and went out on the deck. It was cold.
But for some reason the photos did not come out as I intended. Again, I'm not too patient with the settings when it's cold outside. So I took what I got and Photoshopped the heck out of it to come up with this.

I didn't have my camera when I got up at 5am to drive to Birmingham for our flight to Austin, but that very same moon was shining big and bright in the top of our bathroom window. It was a sight that I would have missed normally.
ReplyDeleteYou snapped a great photo, Walt.
Friday's moon was really beautiful here too. It was at its closest to the Earth for the year, and full to boot on a cold, clear night. I didn't try to take a picture though.
ReplyDeleteI liked your photo of Clementines too; it's one of my favorite foods.
I've had some trouble too...but ended up with some of the most amazing photographs. I'm not sure what it is. But it's cool, nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteevelyn, thanks! Are you still in Austin?
ReplyDeletechris, what can be better than clémentines at the end of the year!
alewis, have you posted them to flickr?
