Yes. I am not ashamed. It is my birthday. I'm a solstice boy. Here's a copy of a card I received from a very good friend this year. It made me smile.
As you know, I love la tour Eiffel. Another year older, although no deeper in debt. In fact, not in debt at all. Some wisdom does come with age. Or at least a bit of luck.

Hi Walt,Happy Birthday and many happy returns of the day!!! I suppose Ken will be cooking your favorite meal for lunch: 'steak au poivre' with frites? Enjoy your day ... and the prospect of spring and summer coming soon. Big birthday hug ... Martine

ReplyDeleteI am jealous you can say you're debt free..we're aggressively working towards it (and haven't used credit in over 2 years) but, oh, the painful slow going of it all.
Happy birthday from your friends in Pennsylvania. What a great time of year to be born, when the days start to lengthen.

Thanks for posting your chouette birthday card- just looking at the tower decked out makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteI do think a solstice birthday is special, I'm always happy to have longer days. My birthday in September is near the equinox, so it's a bummer having shorter days.
Did you hear that Davis Cup is coming to Birmingham in March? US vs Switzerland, not bad, non?
Bon Anniversaire and many happy returns.
Happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a FABULOUS and happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday and best wishes for a healthy and contented year ahead.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a fab day!! Love the card :-)
ReplyDeleteMany happy returns on this feast day of your nativity!
ReplyDeleteThanks to all of you for the warm wishes! It's like having an online birthday party! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! Hope the coming year is full of good times.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Muzbot!
ReplyDeleteHope your day was a happy one and that the coming year is, too. So much to look forward to, longer days, the coming of spring (eventually), and the swearing in of a new president. Hugs to you both.

PS: My challenge word was plessed -- I take that as a combination of pleased and "bessed" [g].
Well, happy birthday and a happy winter too! As if there is such a thing as the latter...
