Periodic Puppy Pics

Here's Callie on her Friday morning walk. The sun was just up and the temperature was close to eight degrees (upper 40s F). We didn't see any vineyard workers during the whole walk. It was either too early or they were off working in other vineyards.

"Stop messing with that camera thing and let's go!"

Ken and I just figured out, with the help of an internet calculator, that as of Friday we have lived in this house 2,802 days, just over seven and a half years. That's the longest time I've lived in any one house or apartment in my life. The second longest was our house in San Francisco at 2,777 days.

  1. Congratulations on the milestone. And what a cute picture of Callie.

  2. It means that you are happy within your place in the universe - that a good thing, huh!

  3. She is sparkling white in that photo! It's nice to stay in one place for a while isn't it? I hear you on that point.

  4. 7 1/2 years is a long stretch for you. My childhood was 9yrs and then until I left the nest. We've been chez nous 33 years now-long enough to get lots of moss between our toes;) and an attic full of junk.

  5. That's a milestone to celebrate. You're where you belong.

  6. Looks like she couldn't decide which side of the road to walk on.

  7. A satellite flying by your bathroom window must be a good omen!! Callie is so cute, as always.

  8. Woke up this morning with light in my eyes
And then realized it was still dark outside
It was a light coming down from the sky
I don't know who or why

Must be those strangers that come every night
Those saucer shaped lights put people uptight
Leave blue-green footprints that glow in the dark
I hope they get home all right

    Hey, Mr. Spaceman
Won't you please take me along
    I won't do anything wrong
    Hey, Mr. Spaceman
Won't you please take me along for a ride

Woke up this morning, I was feeling quite weird
Had flies in my beard, my toothpaste was smeared
Over my window, they'd written my name
Said, so long, we'll see you again

  9. She is beauty !!!!
Must be good when she does not get dirty in her daily walks .

  10. We've lived in this apartment for fifteen years. Previously, I lived in the same house for about 25 years.

  11. I lived in my Boston house for 35 years before building the new one here in New Hampshire. Do you think the house you're in now will be THE house for the long haul into the future?

  12. rick, thanks!

    leon, very good.

suzanne, yes, it's the beginning of the walk before she's had a chance to get muddy. ;)

    vtt, thanks!

evelyn, I know how the junk can accumulate!

    carolyn, I hope so!

alewis, so many people have that dilemma...

bettyann, good omens are always welcome!

    mcguinn, is that you? hehehe...

beaver, very good. But this was not one of those days.

    starman, wow!

will, I think so. Until I can't maintain it any more, then maybe sell and move into town.

Pour your heart out! I'm listening.
