Callie resting in the grass while I took photos.
Today I'm getting my haircut. I will be in the chair at the moment of the solar eclipse. It's not a total eclipse, but it will still be noticeable, from what I've heard. We're supposed to have
Bert's vet visit was good. He's ok in the carrying case, but he didn't like being in the car. Loud meows all the way. But once in the examining room he was a perfect gentleman. He got his shots and a worm pill and he has neither gained nor lost weight since last year. His teeth are good, too. I let him out of the carrier on the way home and he stood up with his paws on the dashboard, then the passenger door, looking out the windows the whole way.
"We're supposed to have relatively clear skies, so it will be interesting."....
ReplyDeletefor clear, please read cloudy and rain!!
And that is a lovely Callie Pic!!
Deletetim, I know. I wrote this yesterday. The forecast changed...
Delete"he stood up with his paws on the dashboard, then the passenger door, looking out the windows the whole way home"....
ReplyDeleteand probably didn't utter a sound....
Jean found that with Daisy...
when Daisy was allowed to drive the was wonderfully quiet!
Exactly my question, Tim! Walt did Bertie continue to mew or was he quiet while he got a chance to observe different surroundings???
DeleteMary in Oregon
mary, he quieted down once he could look around.
DeleteWe love the pictures of Callie and would love more photos of Bertie too!
ReplyDeletelorraine, I'll work on that! :)
DeleteBertie is a gentleman. Most cats would get as low as possible and hide behind the brake pedal.
ReplyDeletecarolyn, you know, I thought about him climbing up on the dashboard, but not under the pedals. I was thinking as I drove, "this is not a really smart thing to do." I don't think I'll be doing it again.
DeleteCallie is a beauty and so photogenic. Bert is clearly much more "stable" than our cats (past or present). If we were in a car and let them out of their travel cages, I'm sure they'd run and hide under the seats.
ReplyDeleteOr under your brake pedal, as mine tried to do :)
DeleteThere must be a cat journal that goes out to all cats: " When forced to ride in a moving vehicle the safest place is under the brake pedal." My other cat always did that. This one I have now has not had the opportunity!
