"Drizzle, drazzle, druzzle, drome, time for this one to come home !"
Anybody remember that ? Every time I see a lizard scoot across the wall, I remember Tooter Turtle calling for Mr. Wizard (who actually was a lizard, I think) to use his magic to get him out of whatever fix he was in.
This particular lizard was on the deck the other day, obviously looking for a drink.

Great photo, Walt. The post was totally cryptic until I googled "Drizzle, drazzle, druzzle, drome, time for this one to come home
ReplyDeleteAnd even then, Tooter Turtle didn't even ring a bell, until I looked it up under images!
Quite familiar, except I can't remember what on earth it was called in French!
Forgot to tell you, those dahlias in your sidebar are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteclaude, thanks ! I didn't know you had Tooter Turtle in France. ;)
ReplyDeleteI think you might have licked the lizard! What the hell are you talking about?
ReplyDeletejayne, Tooter Turtle was a short cartoon back in the days before your parents were old enough to date. In each episode, Mr. Wizard granted his wish to be somebody he was not and it always ended badly. He yelled, "Mister Wizard, help !" and Mr. Wizard would bring him magically back to safety and scold him for wanting to be other than what he was. ;)
