We Interrupt This Blog...

...to honor the inauguration of

President Barack Hussein Obama.

  1. Huzzah for Obama! I still can't believe John Howard muscled in on Obama's accommodation the other week.....

  2. We're getting ready to head down to the festivities now. I don't know if I'm more excited for Obama to be the new president or not having Bush around to muck things up. This day did not come soon enough. I'll post pics later today at www.runningwithbluesponge.com.

  3. And now the healing can begin.

  4. Yes, perhaps we can now start to crawl out of this pit we've been in for way too long.

  5. evol, I wonder if he and W. planned it.

    judy, yeah!

mark, looking forward to seeing your pix.

    gabby, no kidding.

bettyann, a lot of us feel the same way.

  6. I think there is world wide relief and expectancy that Obama has become President.

  7. Love that logo, Ken! Obama picked a cool logo didn't he? People were buying American flags with his picture on them. Barack rocks!

We had a fantastic trip. Cathy, our daughter got to see Obama for her second time at the Southern Ball where the Obamas and Bidens appeared!

Cathy and I saw Obama about this time last year in B'ham on a Sunday afternoon. Everyone thought Hillary was going to win at that time. Cathy and I were convinced otherwise on that day.

We saw Al Gore, Melissa Etheridge and Will i am and the Black Eyed Peas at our Green Ball.

Being on the mall with all our friends was the best part of the trip was way more fun that our Ball time.

  8. Love that logo, WALT! I was really really tired when I wrote the note above.

Pour your heart out! I'm listening.
