Still planting in the garden. Today we're thinking of going to a local nursery for window-box flowers and some bell pepper plants for the vegetable garden. It seems that bell peppers are the one plant I don't have much success with from seed. Go figure.

This is Ken waving from the attic window as I leave on an afternoon walk with Callie. He looks cross, but I don't think he was. Maybe he was having computer problems. Or maybe the sun was in his eyes.

  1. I don't think it was a bye bye wave Walt. I think he managed to get himself stuck and he was waving to say "don't go.. come back and help me".

  2. This is such a great picture. I think one of the best you've taken. Very architectural.

Something about the uniform sea of tiles, interrupted by a friendly face, waving.

    Verifacation word: seeth. Oh dear.

  3. Heh heh :)

So... what color impatiens did you get?

  4. Salut,Ken! I always get impatiens also, usually mixed colors. I love how they multiply and are lush by fall.

  5. You don't lock him in there when you go on your walks, do you?

  6. As you know, I've been thinking about gardening. Your trip to the nursery sounds like heaven. Hope it was fun and a success.

  7. I'm guessing you bought red annuals? Can't wait to see the window boxes.

Perhaps Wave Petunias? They have been very popular for the past few years because of their striking colors and easy growing habits.

  8. Love this picture. I don't think he was cross, he had all four fingers raised.

  9. craig, you were right.

    diogenes, suitable for framing?

judy, light and deep shades of pink.

    martine, :)

evelyn, we put them outside the living room window, on the north side.

mark, how did you know? ;)

    mitch, it was!

mary, we got surfinias (cascading petunias) in a sky-blue shade.

    starman, hehehehe!

  10. or maybe he is being attacked from behind by the ghost.

Pour your heart out! I'm listening.
