"I told you Eugénie, you have to go up these stairs." "Give me that map, Jacques. Do you seriously think they'd put the ladies room at the top of the tower?"

Consulting the guide map
I don't know who they are. They don't know where they are. There's kind of a cosmic symmetry to it all, n'est-ce pas?

ReplyDeleteHey, no fair making fun of your own photos. That's my job!
ReplyDeletem.
Love any and every photo of château world :))
ReplyDeleteLOL! Just spluttered into my tea :-). Antoinette
ReplyDeleteJust look at the pictures Walt, I can feel the history flow through my veins.
ReplyDeleteDo you suppose that was a map of the tower and they were trying to figure out the route up? We constantly see people on the streets here, turning maps in circles and scratching their heads.
ReplyDeletemitch, the route up seems fairly obvious! I honestly don't know what they were looking at...
DeleteBeen there (not this chateau), done that!
ReplyDeleteMary in Oregon
"It says this here castle was made by the Dolphin of France in 1347"
ReplyDeletemichael, those dolphins are smart!
DeleteThis reminded me of 1974 when I was a seasoned veteran of the Paris metro. I saw a young woman who was obviously American. She was puzzling over a map. I said "Can I help you?" She struggled to say "Oui, Madame, je voudrais..." At that point I assured her that speaking English would work just fine.
