Rock formations

Just some interesting formations around Yosemite's Taft Point overlook. Nothing much to say about them.

Formations around Taft Point, Yosemite. Digitized color slide, August 1998.

Today is market day in Saint-Aignan. We don't really need much, but I want to get some nems (Vietnamese egg rolls) from the Asian vendor. He makes good ones with either chicken, pork, or shrimp. I like to buy a bunch and freeze them. That way we can have a couple to accompany whatever Asian style food we make. Yesterday we made a sweet and spicy grilled lamb (leftover) and veggie (including green beans from the garden) stir fry with Japanese udon noodles. Yum!

  3. As Judith and Evelyn point out your food adventures are wondeful. I tried explaining to a carer who looks in on me that there is no excuse for cooking or being served tasteless food. I may have mobility issues but that doesn't mean I can't create good meals to eat. The health care agency wants me to purchase prepared and frozen meals. I show them my receipts from the grocery for the ingredients I purchase to prepare my own meals with plenty of leftovers to put away in the freezer. I say look I save 50% cooking for myself. Good food makes for good physical and mental health. WCS keep on cooking and inspiring others to do so, too!

    1. Walt is an excellent pastry chef. I can vouch for his tarts and other pastries. They’re always works of art and delicious.
On the other hand, industrial cooking leaves much to be desired!
