The good news is that Tasha's groomer is going to have a baby. The bad news is that she's stopping work two weeks before Tasha's grooming appointment and won't return until April. The first time I've made an appointment well in advance, it's all for naught. Now we'll have to find another groomer.
It looks like they used bed clothes to set these restaurant tables in Sarlat.
Our home heating fuel was delivered yesterday, as expected. Now we're set, if not ready, for the coming winter. The next thing is to get some firewood delivered.
And this morning, it's raining outside.
Ah sweet rain. We’ve got a 1% chance. Those DO look like bed clothes! That’s the pits about the groomer. I hope it’s not challenging to find another good one.
ReplyDeleteSo, commenting is working fine for you, Walt?
ReplyDeleteCourage for your search for a new groomer!
I’d be happy to sit at one of those tables, bed clothes or not.

I've been reading your series on Sarlat with great interest. Sarlat is the setting for Robert Merle's novel, Malevil. He owned a summer residence there that was large enough to accommodate his six children and their families.
ReplyDeleteAre there many mobile vets in your area? Tasha was so close to her appointment it seems like that groomer could have sent out an advance notice in case her customers wanted to get in before she took her leave. Maybe she is always booked up and she wouldn't have had time, anyway. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you are successful in your search for a replacement.
ReplyDeleteI remember we took an electric razor once to our dog gave it a very short cut. He looks ridiculous but it was summer and he seemed to feel better for it.
