Rocamadour [7]

I want to like this photo, but I'm not sure what I was trying to capture. We did eat lunch in Rocamadour, maybe at this place. I'm a sucker for a pizzeria. Still, I don't remember the meal. That tells me that it was probably okay, not great, but not bad either. Kind of like how I feel about this photo.

Lunch in Rocamadour. Is that Jean-Luc Picard in the red shirt?

The heat has been coming on these past few mornings. Yesterday's morning low was about 8ºC (about 45ºF). This morning it's a little warmer outside, but the radiators are hot.

  1. I remember that most of the restaurants had views, being on such a cliff. It's not easy finding good food in these tourist spots.

  2. I still always go to Pizza Vesuvio in Paris, when I'm in Paris... it's right over behind where our Pension was, on rue du Four. It's facing Blvd Saint Germain, but it's actually on rue Gozlin. Pizza Vesuvio Saint-Germain

  3. I hate that feeling. Oh, this is an interesting shot... and then it’s not how you saw it. Maybe you were trying to catch twins with the matching heads.

  4. evelyn, it's best to stick with French standards when choosing a restaurant. You usually can't go wrong.

judy, the last time I ate at Vesuvio was in 2016. I was staying in Paris on the eve of a trip back to Montreal and upstate NY. It's always good. My favorite place, though, is Sant' Antonio over in the Marais.

mitch, I envy people that can approach strangers without a sense of dread. It's probably because I don't like being approached by strangers myself, so I'm uncomfortable inflicting that on others.
