In 1986 we loaded up the truck and we moved to Beverly. San Francisco, that is. Fog. Earthquakes. We stayed nearly eighteen years there, had what passes for careers in our lives, then cashed out to move to France in 2003. And here we are.
Twenty-six years, nine cars, five apartments, three houses, a swarm of earthquakes, a tank of fish, and two dogs later, here we are. And here we'll stay. For now, anyway.
I think I'll open something bubbly.
Good idea about the something bubbly. To your health! And many happy returns of the day!
ReplyDeleteWhat are you going to have for lunch? A tradition there?
A very very happy anniversary to you!! Funny how fast the time flies, isn't it?
ReplyDelete...and Bubbly it should be for twenty-six years...a testament to commitment, indeed!
ReplyDeleteI think you didn't need the "left" in the photo caption (or maybe you could have had a followers' quiz?).
Hold on, I'm going to open a bottle of champas too........Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteAndrew and I only have....19 years to go before reaching that milestone....that sounds like such a long way away!

ReplyDeleteFelicitations a vous deux!
ReplyDeleteSo that means it must be the first anniversary of meeting us too ? I seem to remember Ken saying it was your 25th when we came for lunch with my parents.
ReplyDeleteMany congratulations, and wishing you many more years together.
Congratulations all round..

P.S.--Can you believe Nadal is out of the French? Wow, wide open now.
Great match of Nadal's but hejust couldn't devise a strategy to overcome Soderling's power and relentless aggression. Wimbledon will be especially interesting this year.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, may you have a wonderful day....Barb
ReplyDeleteLove the photo! You have good reason to celebrate both today (it's still June 1st here in Washington state) and tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteMany happy returns.
Congratulations! Here is to many more happy years.
ReplyDeleteThanks to all of you for your good wishes! We enjoyed the bubbly!
ReplyDeleteAnd, for Bill in NH, I added the "left" because there are still some people who can't tell us apart! Even some who've met us!
I add my congratulations and best wishes to all of those above.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm late, sorry!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and big hugs to you both! Great photo, Walt. You know, "they" say that couples start to look alike after many years together. ;-)
