Let's call the whole thing off

ToMAYto? ToMAHto? However you say it, we got it. Them. Those. Deez. Doze.

The yellow tomatoes are really coming in right now.

Now we have to figure out what to do with them. We're eating some every day, but we can't eat enough, so it's our annual sauce 'em, dry 'em, stick 'em-in-a-stew time.

  1. I have been on a tomato diet since May 1st and enjoying every minute of it. Wish I could do that in the US, but there tomatoes are absolutely tasteless all year round.

  3. I was just telling Jerry about your always successful vegetable gardening! Do you ever can your tomatoes (and other fruits and veg)? And, gee thanks! Now I'll be singing that song for the rest of the day (then again, I guess what goes around comes around).

  4. I also pop some whole in bags and put in the freezer. I have several Indian recipes that use one tomato - easy to skin after defrosting and add to the recipe.

  6. spouse has gotten only 1 tomato this season; it's been too hot and rainy. now his cucumber vine is dripping with flowers that are turning into cukes daily.
