The variety is called "Rozanne." I found them at a nearby farm that offers "pick your own" blueberries and raspberries along with a very large selection of irises. I brought home a few pots of these geraniums and transplanted them into larger pots for the deck. They didn't do very well. One day, I saw them planted in a border in Blois and thought that I should try that. I went to the farm for a few more pots and put them in a triangular bed next to our garden path. They've thrived there for several years now.
Tasha is groomed! Boy, does she look a lot better. I'll try to get a photo of her this weekend. And, I'm now fully vaccinated, except for the two-week waiting period after the shot. It feels good to have both those things behind me. So far, I'm not really feeling any side effects, but I expect some will show up in the next day or two.
The geranium is beautiful. Yay for Tasha! Has she forgiven you or does she only blame the groomer? So pleased you’ve had the second shot. Hope you continue to feel well and have no side effects.
ReplyDeleteI’m sure I’ve never seen blue geraniums before, so pretty and so happy you’ve found the spot where they thrive. Patiently waiting for pictures of beautiful Tasha.
ReplyDeleteWe also waited for after effects from the second shot - never had any. You might, too.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that I've ever seen blue geraniums around here. It's hard to imagine them.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got that second shot! Looking forward to seeing Tasha!

Now would be the time to continue the brushing of Tasha, now that all her knots are out! A little each day really works - I had an Old English Sheepdog (80 - 100 pounds, I really can't remember, exactly!) and about 3 of Tasha! I used a comb to get out the knots. After a shampoo she smelled so good and she really enjoyed the personal attention (or I should say, "she got used to it and seemed to relax" ...). Bring on her photo so we can all admire her beauty!
ReplyDeleteYou have reminded me I need to call the blueberry farm I usually go to around or on, actually, the fourth of July. It is always a guess as to when they will be at their prime and "easy pickin' "! They usually run a special if you're dressed in red, white or blue colors on the holiday.
Are you enjoying that new umbrella on your balcony? I see quite a few (not your special adaptation, though) in the ads here and think how nice a red one would be on my deck. Maybe next year. I've really looked for the half-umbrellas but no luck in my neck of the woods.
Oh -- I'm really disappointed that Rafa is out. I was wishing he could continue his long streak. I wasn't able to watch the match yesterday. I will be able to see the final tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine Tasha likes a shorter clip in the warmer months.
ReplyDeleteWe used to shave our dogs pretty close in summer time.
