The great plume of Saint-Aignan

This caught my eye the other morning as I was walking through the vineyards with Callie. I've shown pictures of this antenna tower before, but on this particular morning at this particular moment it took on a new look.

Is that a feather in your cap or are you just happy to see me?

It wasn't long before the cloud moved and changed shape and the illusion was over.

  1. Wow, that's weird. I thought it was a smokestack at first.

  2. Looks so much like a feather- speaking of which Lewis and I have found two large turkey feathers on our recent walks.

  3. Super! What a keen eye you have!Could this 'feather' be the 'leftover' of a steam cloud from the power plant near Blois?

  6. I've never seen a cloud like this. Are they common in your area, or did something unusual cause this?

  7. It's a great photo. Is it possible that electric transmission off the tower affected the cloud?
