I took this photo yesterday morning, looking up from the driveway just before sunrise. It's the annual "here are the lights on the house" photo. I used the tripod and the 24mm wide-angle lens.
Holiday lights 2021.
Also yesterday, I put the real fake Christmas tree up and strung the lights on it. I didn't get to the actual ornaments yet because I was making another batch of cranberry biscotti, this time with walnuts instead of pecans. Yum!
The lights look good. Like I've seen enough fireworks in my life, I've seen enough overdone bright and colourful Christmas lighting. Chevy Chase has a lot to answer for.
ReplyDeleteThe actor or the town in Maryland?
DeleteI lived in Chevy Chase, D.C. for a while before moving to Virginia.
DeleteC'mon. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
DeleteI need you to come and hang the lights at our place (or they’re not going up). And, while you’re hear, plan to make several batches of biscotti.
ReplyDeleteHERE HERE!

"the real fake Christmas tree" LOL
ReplyDeleteandrew, not far from our little hamlet is a house that is OVER THE TOP with holiday decorations each year. Lights, statues, stuff in the yard and on the house. I thought that was an American thing, but apparently it happens in France, too.
ReplyDeletemitch, just make reservations at Meson Salvadore and tell me when. LOL!

judy, they are good. Dried cranberries are the only cranberries that we get here, except for juice, so I try to find various uses for them because I really like them.
emm, it goes with our real fake well out back.
