Hello Dolly
This 2CV was sitting outside the Clos Roussely winery on Sunday. My friend noticed that it's named Dolly. I don't know anything else about it, but it's pretty, non?
Ken is home and getting back into his regular routine. Callie was very happy to see him, but Bertie is pretending not to notice. He'll come around soon enough. Dogs and cats, eh?

For even more effect...
run a "hose" between the vat tap on the wall and the filler cap on the deuche!
If not a 2CV... then a 2CV or Acadiane van... even more flat space...
but for the up-market wineries a DS is required!!
And not one of the current Shed Poogot abbbbbomminations being palmed off!
I thought the Fiat Multipla was ugly...
but then I saw the "DS5"!!
Bertie is clearly wary about spoiling Ken so is very shrewdly putting on an air of aloofness.

Dolly is the name of onr of the models of 2CV. The wings of a Dolly are always a contrasting colour to the doors and bonnet, just like this one. Midnight blue and buttermilk is a standard colour combination, but quite a rare one (manufactured 1985-90). Red and white, green and white, "plums and custard" are much more common. This one shows up the Roussely logo beautifully - all they needed was a transfer. Your faithful 2CV nerd - P.

ReplyDeleteCurrently I am reading, Cat Sense by John Bradshaw. In it he compares one difference between dogs and cats: "By what right has the dog come to be regarded as a 'noble' animal? The more brutal and cruel and unjust you are to him the more your fawning and adoring slave he becomes; whereas, if you shamefully misuse a cat once she will always maintain a dignified reserve toward you afterward--you will never get her full confidence again." I never have treated either my dogs or cats wrongly and I have full confidence you guys haven't either but I can see some of the significance of that statement in others. Anyway, cats ARE independent and I had to laugh at Bertie's indifference!
