Callie tries to catch the spray in mid air.
She loves the hose. So much, in fact, that we have to close her inside the house whenever we're watering or otherwise using the hose outdoors. She's fascinated by the movement of the spray and snaps at it, barking and jumping to make sure it doesn't get away.
She leaps up to get some more, and gets totally wet in the process.
When it's hot outside, this is a good way to cool the dog down, give her a drink, exercise, and a bath all at the same time! When she's done, she just hangs out in the sun and dries pretty quickly.
Crazy canine! She's having the best time.
Just like a kid!
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing Callie enjoying herself. The heat has been terrible everywhere. I try to take my bow wow Brownie to the beach to cool off sometimes. I can't imagine how miserable he would be with all that hair and then the heat as well.
ReplyDeleteThat's one happy dog!
ReplyDeleteShe's got the life for sure!
ReplyDeletem.
Wonderful shots! It's great to see a dog having fun :)
ReplyDeletehappy camper jumping for joy
ReplyDeleteMy kids feel the same way about the hose.
ReplyDeleteOur grand dog is just like Callie. She loves going to our nearby school's football field when the sprinklers are going.

ReplyDeleteY and I were talking about whether you can have the sprinkler going for Callie or having a kiddie pool for her when we were watching the news about the canicule on Sunday on France 2 . We were wondering whether she would be scared by the spray but it looks like she does enjoy it
As far as temp , same here (17 C) but we are back to 30C on Monday ( with the humidity I won't be fun )
ReplyDeleteThere was a portion of a TV show devoted to animals shaking themselves after encountering water. It seems they get rid of 70% of the water when they shake.
ReplyDeleteI always find it a joy to watch a loved dog playing in a hose or sprinkler. These are great shots!
ReplyDeleteOur dog hates water - what a pity.
ReplyDeleteLove these photos of Callie getting her thrill and chill from the hose! It reminds me of my childhood and running in the sprinkler (no pool at our home).
