It's time for another installment! Callie will be six years old this month. For her birthday, she's getting an appointment at the groomer's. It's ok if you tell her; she knows already.
Just snoozing in the den. Or trying to.
What you can't see is how tangled and matted the hair around her back end is. She'll also get the feathers (long hair) trimmed off the back of her legs.
Adorable! She's a lucky girl with you two! This wet weather is terrible for their coats isn't it? I try to keep Boris to paved surfaces when it's wet but he still manages to get wet and tangled!
There used to be a canin toilettage (sp?) across from the laundromat in Mortagne. I enjoyed seeing the little dogs strut in with their owner. They acted like the groomer was an old friend and stood patiently while she worked on them. When they came out later with their owner they always had a smug expression, like they knew they looked like a million bucks.
You did a fine job showing us her "good side"! There are a couple of places in my city where you can take one's dog and do the grooming yourself in a raised tub with a hand-held sprayer. When I had my sheepdog I had always planned to try it out, but I never got around to it. Bon anniversaire, Callie!

DeleteAh clean dogs... A rarity in my house,......
ReplyDeleteWhen you flew over Prestatyn
We waved
john, I thought that was you...
DeleteThis is what happens in muddy winter--we get a little ragged looking. She is still amazingly lovely, with her rich chocolate highlights.
