Raindrops on an iris leaf.
She's licking her stitches a little, but not trying to pull them out. I'll bet she's a little sore and that those stitches probably itch. After a couple of hours she got groggy and slept on and off, then bedtime, and she essentially slept through the night. This morning she's back on her normal diet, with a supplement of an anti-inflammatory drug to relieve post-op pain for a few days. She'll go back to the vet to have her stitches removed in about ten days. Our challenge will be to limit her activity for a while so her little scar can heal.
That all sounds good, as if she's not feeling ill or in any pain.
ReplyDeleteOur vet's advice with both Lulu and Daisy was to keep them 'quiet', which was not at all easy!
Love those raindrops and spiral. Great catch. Hope Tasha is on the mend.
ReplyDeleteGlad all went well. We survived this with Harvey, but it was so awful seeing the tiny guy groggy and scared/perplexed wearing a cone, struggling to stand and just being generally disoriented. We definitely have overprotective parent syndrome. Wishing quick healing for Tasha!
ReplyDeleteSweet Natasha :)
ReplyDeleteI love the sidebar about the chimney sweep slash plumber! How quaint.
ReplyDeleteMuch relief at the news that all is okay and that she's not evidently experiencing pain.
ReplyDeleteGlad she's doing so well. It sounds like you won't need forgiveness.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the patient is doing well.
