This unassuming little hotel sat out on the Pointe du Raz in Bretagne until it was closed in 1997 and subsequently demolished as part of a plan to restore the natural state of the area*.
Yesterday I got my second covid booster. In other words, my fourth shot. So far, just under 24 hours later, I have a little soreness in my arm, but nothing worse. I was surprised when the woman who gave me the shot placed it way up, almost on top of, my shoulder. I hear that now they're talking about recommending a fifth dose and maybe an annual dose, like a traditional flu shot. My first two shots were Astra-Zeneca, the third was Moderna, and this last one was Pfizer, in case you were keeping track.
Today's supposed to be a nice day weather-wise. I want to get the chainsaw out and cut up some dead and downed limbs (birch, apple, and linden) for firewood.

It is a stark and very good photo, and I think the hotel would be nice place to stay, to be warm and cozy as the cold wind blew in from the sea. I've had the same vaccinations in the same order as yourself. At least one of them must have worked as we are among a few rare people here who haven't caught Covid.
ReplyDeleteThe neighbors were too noisy!
ReplyDeleteThat sure looks like a painting, even when I zoom in.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you got the new booster.
We recently got our 5th Pfizer plus a flu shot. Just a little soreness the first night - no other disturbances. So far neither of us have gotten Covid - that we know of and that is good for us at around 80 years of age.
ReplyDeleteSad to hear it is gone, my first thought was I want to stay at that hotel. We had our third booster recently.
ReplyDeleteThe hotel looks like it was beautiful and what a setting, but I guess it’s good to have the natural environment there reclaimed. Second boosters began Monday for the over 80s. So, we’re still waiting. And we also have options, so I suppose I should do some reading on what’s recommended. A cousin in Norway just had the Pfizer booster, too.
ReplyDeleteGoing to get my booster today.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty hotel. Too bad it’s gone but I understand why.

andrew, I'm hoping that they're effective, too. So far, so good.

sillygirl, good news!
travel, I'll bet the wind howls at night!
mitch, I didn't get a choice. We just took what they gave us.
evelyn, yay!
bettyann, it was a pretty building. I understand the hotel was pretty basic. No stars.
