Tasha Tuesday

This is the "before" shot taken on Sunday. Tasha's got a grooming appointment this morning. I'll take her over at 10h00. She'll get a bath and a trim and, hopefully, a good brushing to get a lot of her undercoat out. I'm very bad at brushing Tasha regularly, especially in those places where the brush pulls out knots and thick fur. She'll let me start, but after about a minute she's done.

During our period of "confinement," my hair has grown almost as long as Tasha's.

No such luck at the groomer's. She'll be up on the table attached with a leash. The groomer muzzles her to avoid getting snapped at. And the groomer has that dispassionate, professional approach. I'm looking forward to the end result and will try to get a good photo. I'm especially looking forward to having Tasha's paws trimmed. You can't see it here, but she's starting to look like a Clydesdale.

  1. Such a beautiful pup! I’ve missed Tasha Tuesdays.

  2. Wow. Her hair would soon be dragging the ground. What an amazing coat! I'm back to trimming my hair to a buzz cut and I've decided to do the same with my beard. Wearing a mask makes a mess of it and my mustache makes, when masked, my nose itch.

  4. I'm sure Tash will be stunning when I next see her! I know what you mean about those knots...I try diligently to keep them out of my cat's fur, but last night while petting her I found one I had missed. I use a wide-toothed comb every morning when I feed him and then give him his insulin. Matisse enjoys all of the attention - although other friends cannot believe my cat likes to be groomed! As for my hair...I will be one of the first in line for a haircut when that is again possible!

  5. I know what you mean. My dog has hairy paw feet, and they desperately need trimming, and she needs grooming. Looking forward to seeing the newly svelte Tasha.

  6. bettyann, me too!

mitch, I haven't decided what to do about my "mop" yet. Not only has our hair place been closed, but the stylist was expecting twins in April, so she's out at least until July. With current affairs, I fear she may never come back.

judy, next Tuesday, if I'm lucky!

mary, I've never heard of grooming a cat! I thought they did that themselves... ;)

emm, her feet look normal now. :)

  7. We used to use a furminator (the yellow one) on Heather and Holly, excellent for longer haired dogs, and so easy to use. I believe you can get the brand on Amazon still. Heather much preferred it to being brushed.
