The full moon set in the west during our Monday morning walk. The sun rose in the east at the same time. Tasha chased birds.
Moonset across Touraine vineyard parcels.
We enjoyed very spring-like weather on Monday. I made an early morning run over to the supermarket for a new bottle of butane for the gas grill. I cleaned up the grill and got it ready for its first use of the season. We had chicken thighs and merguez (spicy beef and lamb sausages) on the grill, with broccoli and chick peas on the side. Today the weather is predicted to be even nicer, so we're doing burgers on the grill. And, yes, we're having fries with that.
It was a great moon last night. I'm pleased you could see it. It rose so yellow before becoming such a bright white.
ReplyDeletePomme frites, a full moon, and chick peas. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI also admired the moon and tried to work out if it were a Blue Moon or something special. Shall have to hit Google! Outside meals in the evening are not on but I have had morning coffee in the garden with an extra fleece on.
ReplyDeleteYumm. Yummmmmmm.
ReplyDeleteYou timed your walk perfectly!
ReplyDeleteBurgers sound like a great idea. When you eat a burger at home, do you eat it French style, with a fork and knife, or American style?
ReplyDelete'The sun shall rise and the moon will set; you learn how to settle with what you get.'
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like all is well at your end :-)
andrew, it rose here through thin clouds. Very dramatic.
ReplyDeletemitch, and tasty, too!
potty, it's still too chilly to eat outside here as well. Maybe not today...
judy, :)
evelyn, yup!
bettyann, usually we eat them American style -- on a bun. But we've done them as steaks in a sauce a time or two.
michael, can't complain!
