An ice star.
We saw frost in most places until the sunlight melted it. The day was brilliant, but the wind kicked up before long and we never got much above 5ºC. I could have cut some logs but I found other things to do, one of which was sharpening the blade on the axe I use for splitting the cut firewood.
Now that's an interesting photo! The colours and textures are superb.
ReplyDeleteIf I had the time I'd make something creative in those colours, a hat, a bracelet, a jumper........hmmm........
Is this what Sue and I will expect next year. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Open fire, glass of port, comgy slippers and a crochet rug and an occasional cuddle.
ReplyDeleteMaybe not so bad.
Ooops - thats comfy
DeleteWhat an intriguing ice formation!
ReplyDeleteGreat composition ! But I can't understand how this ice "sculpture" was formed. Can you explain it ?
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you do it Walt, but somehow you always find the most interesting shapes in everyday items...that ice star is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo. But, brrrrrr...
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely lovely Walt!! Biz!
